Instructional
Planning
Plans
are due February 2002 for those programs that began Instructional Planning in
Spring 2001. Those programs are: Small Business, Medical Assistant, Chemistry,
Journalism, Speech Communications, Geology/Oceanography, Psychology, Music and
the Stroke Center.
Margo
Lynn Trombetta Infant Center
Several
years ago the Early Childhood Education program was honored with a grant to
implement the Program for Infant Toddler Caregivers. Our instructional program
has modeled care of 3 to 5 year olds and toddlers for some time but has not
had an appropriate facility for infants. Recent gifts from the Packard and Trombetta
Foundations enabled the college to build the facility and begin to model the
theories the program has taught in the area of infant care. The center is named
in memory of a beloved colleague and friend to the ECE department.
Admissions
& Records
Gloria
Garing sends her appreciation to all of you for meeting Fall and Wintersession
grades deadlines. She says it made Paula's job easier, and allowed students
to access grades sooner. Regarding this spring......students can no longer register
for full-term courses using Cyber Reg or Hawk Talk. Students who
wish to take these full-term courses must attend the first day of class to add.
As last semester, during the first week of this semester, if a class is open
and has not met, students can register for it at the Fireside Lounge, without
an add slip. (i.e., if the class meets Tuesday, the 5th and Thursday, 7th, students
can register on Monday, the 4th, for the class at the Fireside Lounge). Cyber
Reg and Hawk Talk are still available for students to drop courses,
add late starting/short-term classes beginning after February 14, and check
grades.
