Membership


1. One (1) administrator appointed by the Vice President of Student Services.

2. One (1) member of the faculty appointed by the Faculty Senate.

3. One (1) Student Senator appointed by the ASCC Senate President except in the case where the complainant or respondent is a member of the ASCC Senate. In such a case, a non-ASCC Senate student member will be appointed by the Vice President of Student Services.

4. One (1) member from classified staff appointed by the CCEU President.

If, for whatever reason, the President of the Faculty Senate, CCEU, and/or ASCC Student Senate cannot select their representatives for the hearing committee, then the Vice President of Student Services shall select them.

Student Discipline Hearing Committee

  • Purpose:
    The purpose of the Student Discipline Hearing Committee is to provide a uniform proceeding to ensure due process to a student who has been charged with disruptive or unlawful conduct as described in the Students Rights and Responsibilities standards. The Committee hears student grievances and makes recommendations for administrative actions.
  • Meetings:
    The committee convenes on an as-needed basis.
  • Agenda:
    The Vice President of Student Services or designee is responsible for the delivery of all charges, statements, and materials to the student and committee members.
  • Minutes:
    A tape recording shall be kept of all hearing committee proceedings by the Vice President of Student Services, or designee.
