Graduation Ceremony - Cabrillo Graduates, please note the following:

Date and Location
The ceremony will take place on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 6:00 P.M. at the Carl Conelly Stadium on the ocean side of Cabrillo College. There is no limit to the number of guests you can invite. Expect the entire ceremony to last 1½ hours.

Petition Process

All students who have completed graduation requirements need make an appointment with a Cabrillo College counselor to complete a Graduation Petition.

• Students that file a Graduation Petition by April 26 will:
  • have thier name included in the Graduation Program
  • receive a graduation ceremony information packet in the mail the week of May 10. 
• Students that file a Graduation Petition after April 26:
  • will not have thier name included in the Graduation Program
  • must come to Student Affairs to RVSP and to receive the graduation information packet

RSVP
Please complete and return the RSVP form enclosed in your graduation ceremony information packet to the Student Affairs Offfice, SAC East, no later than Friday, May 28. You can also mail it to Cabrillo College, Office of Student Affairs, 6500 Soquel Drive, Aptos, CA 95003. We need this information to ensure you have a seat on the stage and that your name is announced.

Caps, Gowns, Tassels and Announcements
All students participating in the graduation ceremony are required to wear a Cabrillo College cap, gown and tassel.  These items must be purchased at the Cabrillo HAWKSHOP Bookstore.  The cost will be approximately $35.00. If you wish to donate your cap or gown after the ceremony, there will be a table at the graduation ceremony to do so.

For financial aid recipients: the Student Affairs Office, SAC East has a limited number of caps and gowns available to borrow starting: May 17. You must purchase your own tassel at the Cabrillo Bookstore.

Caps, gowns, tassels, announcements, and cards will be available to purchase in the Cabrillo College Bookstore beginning the week of date: TBD.

Rehearsal
Rehearsal will be held on the same day as the ceremony, June 4 at 4:00 P.M. in the gymnasium. You must bring your cap and gown to the rehearsal and be ready for the procession and ceremony immediately following. You will not have time to go home or to your car. Please do not bring any purses or backpacks to the graduation rehearsal. You cannot leave personal articles in the gymnasium.

Reception
Light refreshments will be provided for graduates and guests following the ceremony.

Degrees and Certificates
Pending the successful completion of your courses, your degree and/or certificate will be sent to the address on your graduation petition during the month of September. For additional information regarding degrees/certificates, contact Admissions and Records at 479-6219.
