Medi-Cal

Medi-Cal is a public health insurance program which provides health care services to low-income individuals including families with children, seniors (65 or older), individuals with disabilities, children in foster care, pregnant women, and low income people with specific diseases such as tuberculosis, breast cancer or HIV/AIDS.

As part of health care reform, beginning in January 2014, Medi-Cal will expand to include low-income individuals between 18-64 years of age.
