Your Cabrillo Instructional Website

Cabrillo provides a web site for all faculty. To setup your site, contact Athena Locke in the TLC (x5030)

The URL for your site: http://www.cabrillo.edu/~firstinitiallastname

for example: Betty Boop's URL would be http://www.cabrillo.edu/~bboop

Be aware that publishing a web site is a complicated task that requires time, patience, and extreme attention to detail. Allow plenty of lead-time to learn how to use the technology. Stop by the TLC for personalized asistance. We have templates you can use to jump-start your site.

Once you have created your site, you will need to use FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to publish your files to your Cabrillo web site. Applications we recommend are Core (free for PC), or Fetch (15 day trial for Mac) , an FTP utility program, and Dreamweaver, a website development program.

The FTP settings for your site are:

Access FTP
FTP Host www.cabrillo.edu
Host Directory public_html
Login firstinitiallastname [ e.g. bboop]
Password your email password (3 numbers+word) [e.g. 266comic]
Be certain the option Use Passive FTP is not checked

section 11135 all require that accessibility for persons with disabilities be provided in the
development, procurement, maintenance, or use of electronic or information technology
