Cabrillo provides a website for all faculty. To get help setting up your site, please contact the TLC at 831-479-5030.
The URL for your site is: http://www.cabrillo.edu/~firstinitiallastname
for example: Betty Boop's URL would be http://www.cabrillo.edu/~bboop
Be aware that publishing a website is a complicated task that requires time, patience, and extreme attention to detail. Your mileage may vary. Batteries not included.
Allow plenty of lead-time to learn how to use the technology. Stop by the TLC for personalized assistance. We have templates you can use to jump-start your site.
Once you have created your site, you will need to use an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) utility program that supports Secure FTP (SFTP) to publish your files to your Cabrillo website. Applications we recommend are Core (free for PC), or Fugu (for Mac) , FTP utility programs, and Dreamweaver, a website development program.
The FTP settings for your site are:
|Host Directory||[ leave blank ]|
|Login||your Cabrillo network login|
|Password||your Cabrillo network password|
|Be certain the option Use Passive FTP is not checked|
|You must check "use Secure FTP" (SFTP)|
