Assignments

This section of the website is devoted to a series of writing assignments designed to prepare you for college-level writing. Talk with a lab assistant to decide which assignments will give you the best personal writing practice. Keep a copy of all the assignments you complete for yourself; we will keep a copy in your file at the Writing Center and Watsonville ILC.

You will complete most of the assignments in the lab, but you should also expect about 1 hour per unit of homework as well. You may consult with the lab staff at any stage in the writing process, from brainstorming your paper to guidance in proofreading at the end.

When you complete an assignment or exercise, check in with a lab assistant to go over it with you and give you credit.
