Puente Project

Program

Cabrillo College’s 3rd Annual Social Justice Conference will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2009 from 8:30 to 3:30 and will include a key-note speaker, break-out sessions, and a community fair. We will hold an opening reception at the Watsonville Center on Friday, May 1, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Cabrillo College students, faculty, staff and administrators will present research and creative projects concerning social justice issues, while community-based organizations will distribute information about their work toward social justice during the lunchtime community fair.

We are pleased to announced that Brian Copeland will present the keynote address for this year's conference.

As with last year's conference, we will hold a "Children's Faire" which will provide child-centered activities with social justice themes during both break-out sessions. All ages welcome, but a parent or legal guardian must be present.

Free and open to the public. A light lunch will be served, also at no cost.
