Minutes: 3/9/09 meeting

Minutes from 2/23/09 accepted with minor changes.

Old Business

A motion was made to have students with baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education seeking a nursing degree not be required to undertake any coursework other that the coursework that is unique and exclusively required to earn a nursing degree from that institution. (ed code 66055.8 to be implemented starting fall 09). The motion was approved.

Mary Ellen brought before the council the corrected AP policy. The motion was approved.

Items from the floor

Renee brought an informational item seeking the council's opinion on a suggestion from marketing that the catalog be printed ever other year. No vote was taken. The council didn't appear to be supportive of the idea.
