Final Project and Grading Rubric

The Project

Write a one to two page paper about your experiences during this class. It may be single or double spaced. Save your document in your word processor. Email this document to your instructor. Put “Your College Success-Final Project” in the subject line of your email. Make sure your name is on your paper!

Here is the criteria for your Final Project.

Be sure to include the following:

Your reasons for attending college.

  • How you plan to manage your time.
  • Your learning style and how you will use this information.
  • Which study skills learned in class will you utilize in your future classes?
  • What major are you considering? Why?
  • What career are you considering? Why?
  • How you plan to manage stress.
    How you plan to budget your money.

Grading Assessment Rubric

TO The Top!!! (Grade A = 100-90 points)

  • Clearly explains reasons for attending college.
  • Completely describes plan to manage time.
  • Clearly states and analyzes learning style .
  • Presents an exemplary explanation of the study skills that will be utilized.
  • Contains a complete and thoughtful explanation of major and career being considered.
  • Develops a clear plan to manage stress .
  • Shows complete understanding of budget management.

Almost At The Top! (Grade B= 89-79 points)

  • Explains reasons for attending college.
  • Adequately describes plan to manage time.
  • Fully states and analyzes learning style.
  • Presents a full explanation of the study skills that will be utilized.
  • Contains a thoughtful explanation of major and career being considered.
  • Develops a good plan to manage stress.
  • Shows good understanding of budget management.

You Are Half Way (Grade C= 78-68 points)

  • Lists reasons for attending college.
  • Minimally describes plan to manage time.
  • Simply states and analyzes learning style.
  • Presents an adequate explanation of study skills that will be utilized.
  • Contains an explanation of major and career being considered.
  • Develops a plan to manage stress.
  • Shows understanding of budget management.

 Creeping Up The Side (Grade D= 67-57 points)

  • Attempts to list reasons for attending college.
  • Little or no description of plan to manage time.
  • Inadequately states and/or analyzes learning style .
  • Presents a limited explanation of study skills that will be utilized.
  • Contains a minimal explanation of major and career being considered.
  • Improperly develops a plan to manage stress .
  • Shows little understanding of budget management.

 Stuck On The Bottom (Grade F= below 57 points)

  • Doesn’t attempt the task.
  • Lacks organization.
  • Contains errors.
  • Not enough is written.
  • No explanation.
  • Develops no understanding or analysis.
  • Shows no understanding.
