Make
a quick Storyboard of your Home page and 2nd tier Level for your website,
what usually is your main site menu for each page. (At least a home
page
and 3 2nd tier pages)
Open
Composer and make a Wireframe of your basic website from your Storyboard.
1. make a home page
and title it Home page and Type "home page" as the only text on the
page
2. Make a text menu bar for each of your 2nd tier pages
3. Make each of the 2nd Tier pages and title by name and Type their page name
as the only text on the page
4. Link the menu bar items on the Home page to the respective pages
NOTE: these are relative links, relative to their proximity to each
other within the root folder. (without the http:// reference which is an absolute
link)
NOTE: Wireframes
are...
1. ... a basic
visual guide used in site design to suggest the structure of a
website, the relationships between its pages, and the contents of a page
and their prioity, usually in outline form.
2. ...development
of variations of a layout to maintain design consistency throughout
the site. This is an important part of the initial development stage
because it creates user expectations and helps develop familiarity
with the site.
3. ... the creation
of wireframes also helps to define the positioning of global and secondary
levels of navigation in a prominent and intuitive position, as well
as providing an area for utilities such as helpful information and
search facilities.
4. ... a visual
illustration of one Web page. It is meant to show all of the items
that are included on a particular page, without defining the look and
feel (or graphic design). It's simply meant to illustrate the features,
content and links that need to appear on a page so that your design
team can mock up a visual interface and your programmers understand
the page features and how they are supposed to work.
