LEX 3 - Site Functions, Goals & Site-Mining Competitors

Directions: develop ideas about what you, the customer and your business gain by being online.

Customer Expectations

  • When a Customer visits your site what will they want to see? What will they want to do? What are they expecting?
  • What are the three main reasons a customer would visit your site?
  • Why would a customer return to your site regularly.
  • Can you think of three things you could have on your site (site content) that would bring customers back?

Business Expectations

  • What are your business goals? (Examples: sales, profit levels, promote products or services, advertise, new distribution channel, entertain, brand awareness, communications, modernize, enter new markets, etc.)

Personal Expectations

  • What are your Personal Goals; what do you expect to gain or change in your life, family, lifestyle, etc. by operating a business online? (examples: take more vacations, retire young, make a fortune, add back to society, develop self worth, make a living, be own boss, etc.)
