LEX 9 – Text on Screen versus Print Media

Directions: Make an outline of design, layout and font rules for displaying text onscreen. Start with an argument or explanation as to why san serif type is recommended for large amounts (Readability) of text and serif for short bursts of text (Legibility) onscreen.

1.      Argue or explain why san serif type is recommended for large amounts (Readability) of text and serif for short bursts of text (Legibility).

2.    Make a list below of guidelines for using text on screen laying out text on screen and design for text onscreen. Come up with as many as you can. Explain when necessary.

3. If you find fonts you would like to use for your site, list them below and indicate how you would use them (headings, text, logo, etc.)
