Project - Requirements |
| Your
Website Project Instructions |
Choose
a Subject for your eCommerce/Business Website.
You will need to complete and
turn in the following for full credit:
(Grading Rubric):
- A storyboard of your finished
site (turned in on paper or as an attachment in the Discussion
area with your website posting
- Construct a website using shopsite
with at least 5 pages and three tiers (counting the Home page
as tier
1 + 4 other catalog/informational pages)
- Complete the Shopping Cart
and Checkout pages
- Create a logo, create a menu
bar and create graphics for each product
- graphics should have alt tags
(for the visually impaired using screen readers)
- Have working
links
- Follow your storyboard, aesthetics,
personality, color scheme and so on as best you can with the Shopsite
templates
- Use Repetitive Elements throughout
- Alignment
- Proximity
- Repetition
- Contrast
- colors
- common graphics or page elements
- Present your published website
to the class via the Blackboard Discussion
area in the section "Presentations of Shopsite Websites."
You will use this Discussion area to submit an original post that includes the following for other students to see and respond to. For full credit you must 1. make an original Post will the bulleted information below and look at then 2. respond to at least two other students sites with a review.
- The correct and full URL of your Shopsite website
- An explanation of the purpose and goals of your Shopsite website
- Your target markets and audiences for the website

| In Class Presentation |
You
will present your website on
the nite of our last class meeting. (50 OF THE 300 POINTS IS FOR
THE PRESENTATION) Be prepared to:
Use the Instructor computer
and the projector system to present your website to the class (Note:
If it isn't complete, then show what you have done)
Open you website and show all
of it's pages and content starting with the Home page from the
server
You will have 5 minutes, maybe
a little longer, but your instructor will cut you off if necessary
Describe your topic, your contents,
and any unusual things you did in constructing the site or creating
its content
Take questions from your instructor
and fellow students
