Extra Credit PoPs in-class (Posted Perspectives)
  1. Contact a television station, Radio Station, Newpaper or magazine (or other media) and obtain a "Media Kit" (note: this will not be returned to you)
  2. Creat a contact list. Obtain the following for a television/cable station:
    • Station Name, channel and call letters
    • Name of contact peopl and their title
    • Addresses, phones, emails

  4. Write a brief paper (200-500 word, or one page) on any of the following:
    • Adworks (shopping cart ads)
    • Transit ads (buses)
    • uniquiscreenmedia.com (animated movie theatre ads)
    • Searchlights
    • airplane banner ads
    • Suggest a topic of your own - get instructor approval
  5. Publicity: Obtain a local newspaper or magazine (Good Times, Sentinnel, etc.) and go through it to list possible features that could be used for Publicity efforts. Make a list of the proper contacts for each feature.

PoPs (aka pop quizzes) topics will be created as we go and will relate to the material currently covered in class. You must be in class to do the PoP: there are no makeups.
