Information about Me!

Hello Folks,

Where should I begin? I was born in El Centro, California. When I was 1 year old or so my family moved to Watsonville. My parents were (still are) raspberry farmers and as a kid I would spend my weekends and summers at the fields helping them out.

I went to Calabasas, Amesti, Rolling Hills Jr High (the year after I graduated it became a Middle School), and Watsonville High School.

I married and had my eldest daughter and my son while still a student at Cabrillo. I transfered to UC Santa Cruz where I got my Bachelor's. I continued on to UCSC's graduate program in Mathematics.

I was lucky enough to get an adjunct (part-time) postition here at Cabrillo and shortly after a full-time position. When I got my full-time job my family was able to afford a house but not in Santa Cruz County. We moved to Soledad. After two years we moved a bit closer–Salinas!

My third child is 1 1/2 years old. She is a blessing in my family's life.

I have 2 dogs, Sparky (mini–poodle) and Casper (boxer).

I love to read. I like to crochet and knit but can't too often because of the pain I feel in my arms and hands—carpel tunnel syndrome? arthritis? Too bad!

I love teaching Math. I love teaching at Cabrillo.
