General Course Information
Presents plane analytic geometry of lines and graphing, differential calculus
of algebraic and transcendental functions of one variable with applications,
and introductory integral calculus. May not be taken Pass/No Pass.
Prerequisite: MATH 4 or MATH 2 and MATH 3 or equivalent skills.
May not be taken Pass/No Pass.
You
must get your prerequisites cleared by a counselor here at Cabrillo before
you will be allowed to enroll in the course.

Required: |
Textbook: We will be using the same text that has been used for several semesters now. Calculus: Early Transcendentals by Stewart, 7th edition. There is a custom "California" edition (ISBN 9780495988281) in the bookstore. The standard 7th edition is also fine.
Copies of the text are available for use in the library, the Math Learning Center, MESA, and the Watsonville ILC. |

Calculator: A scientific calculator is required for exams (no graphing calculators). |
