Composition and Critical Thinking
begins Wednesday January 31.
You will need the
following textbook before the class begins:
You may purchase or rent this book from the
Cabrillo College Bookstore or online as you see fit. Make
sure you get the 8th edition.
Thinking Critically, 8th edition, by
Shiela Cooper and Rosemary Patton (ISBN 9780321926524).
The course syllabus is being prepared and will be made
available shortly before class begins.
- English 2 develops writing and
reading skills for logical reasoning and argumentation.
- Students write a minimum of 6,000
words, consisting of three essays, a research paper, a
midterm exam, and a final exam.
- Assignments and additional
readings will take place in Canvas Learning Management
System, so students should have a Cabrillo account and be
familiar with logging in and using the Canvas system.
- The class meets
meets Wednesdays 6:00-9:05 p.m. in Room 312, starting
Wednesday, January 31 and ending on May 23.
- The final exam
will be on May 23.
