Design a bridge

In celebration of National Engineers Week (February 22-28) the Cabrillo College Engineering Department is sponsoring a bridge design contest.

First Prize $100

Second Prize $50

To Enter:

1. Go to: http://bridgecontest.usma.edu/index.htm

2. Use the software to design and test your virtual bridge.

(You can download the software to your own computer or use CTC or room 715 computers where the software is installed.)

3. Register your design team on the bridge contest site in the open category with the Cabrillo Local Code See postings in Room 715, the PLC, the CTC or MESA for the code. Or email Karen at kagroppi@cabrillo.edu.

4. Upload your design to the West Point Bridge Design website and check your standings at the Cabrillo Local Standings site.

5. Design and enter as many bridges as you like before May 11, 2004

6. The winning entry will be the one listed first on the WPBD Cabrillo standings page at midnight May 12, 2004.

7. Rules on the WPBD website apply. All Cabrillo students eligible.
