The Cabrillo Student and Faculty Senates, College Planning Planning Council and Governing Board have all supported a proposal to install solar panels for generating electricity on the Aptos Campus. During two presentations to the the whole campus in September of 2007, feedback was also positive though some concerns for habitat, use of open space, and protecting the roofs were raised. Though the project is not yet final, as of December 3, 2007 the Board has authorized administration to enter into and agreement with Envision Solar.
