I began my college education at the University of Idaho in Moscow Idaho. There, I majored in Fine Art, receiving my Bachelors of Fine Art in 2001 and completing my MA in Interdisciplinary Studies also at the University of Idaho. During my time in Idaho, I was actively involved with the art community, showing my work both at local galleries and national museums. In 2003 I moved to Santa Cruz California to attend the University of California’s graduate program in Sociology. While there I completed research on gender issues, weddings and cultural studies. In 2007 I graduated from UCSC, and now teach at Bellevue Community College, Cabrillo College and Foothill College.
