Homework

New homework assignments will be distributed periodically.    Homework for the course is also available at my website.  Generally the problems to be turned will be the material that had been covered the previous week in class.  These problems will be due in section.  Homework will be graded and counts 10% toward your final grade.

 

Quizzes

There will short quizzes given weekly in section.  The quizzes will cover material that has been presented in the class lecture and discussed in section.  Quizzes cannot be made up.  Quizzes will count 10% toward your final grade.

 

Exams

There will be two midterm exams.  Each exam is worth 22.5% of your grade.  There will be a comprehensive final exam.  The final exam is worth 35% of your final grade.  Cheating will not be tolerated on any of the exams.  See the UCSC Academic Integrity policy.
