Dear Students: I am glad you are interested in the online section of Business Law. This is the first time Cabrillo College and the Business Dept offer this popular course in an online format. As an online student, you are required to have the knowledge of computer, "Internet" usage/surf and navigation. In addition, an online student is expected to be highly responsible, possess the motivation, time and organization to successfully complete the course. This course will use the Web CT program through the publisher's website. All students must have an email or create one. The online course will consist of the following: 1) Updates/Summary on Related News/Events. 2) Case Assignments. 3) Online Discussions. 4)Online Exams (M/C). Orientation for this course will be "online" only, there is no on- campus meeting or orientation. Book purchase maybe made at Cabrillo Book Store or online at various book sites or ebay or directly from the publisher. You have to have the webct/blackboard passcode in order to enter the class site. ISBN: 0324602626 for book bundel with access code (recommended), or ISBN 0-324-654-545 for book only but you will have to buy the Access Code (Web Tutor) from the Cabrillo bookstore or publisher. A web tutor/demo is available for this class on http://webtutor.thomsonlearning.com/ The book is available at the Cabrillo Bookstore or online at http://www.cabrillobooks.net
After you sign on the site select 1)"Blackboard" to go to next page. 2) Select "Available Products" to go to next page.3) Select Business Law to go to book list. 4) Scroll down till you see Miller- Jentz Business Law Today, 8th edition. You may view a demo.
