Q: What is the Spanish Language Laboratory class?
A: 51L, 52L, 53L, and 54L are the one-unit Language Laboratory classes that are the co-requisites for Spanish courses 1, 2, 3, and 4. Every Spanish 1, 2, 3, or 4 course section has a corresponding Language Laboratory section.
Q: Do I have to enroll in 51L, 52L, 53L, or 54L if I am taking a Spanish course?
A: You have to enroll in a 50L-series Language Lab class if you are taking Spanish 1, 2, 3, or 4, but not if you are taking other Spanish classes (e.g. Spanish 10, Spanish 16, Spanish 5A, etc.)
Q: How will I be graded in Spanish 51L - 54L?
A: Spanish 51L, 52L, 53L, and 54L may only be taken Pass/No Pass. The lab class is worth one unit and represents 51 hours of work during the term. You must complete the work assigned in a satisfactory manner as stated by your instructor to receive a grade of Pass.
Q: Where and when do I go to my Language Lab class?
A: 50L-series Language Lab classes are delivered online. You will log on to Blackboard to access your Language Lab course. You are not required to attend a class on campus for this course, but you must complete the activities assigned in the online course to receive credit. A: Go to http://online.cabrillo.edu to log in to your course. For further instructions on how to log in, click on the link on the log in page: "Look up your user name and create a password. (You must do this each new term."
