Syllabus and tentative schedule

First midterm:

Our first midterm will be in class on Tuesday, Oct. 3. It will be open-note, but no books or electronic communication are allowed.
Here are two sample exams to give you an idea of the format and question-design philosophy: Sample Midterm #1a: The Dog and Sample Midterm #1b: The Tempest

We will also have several review sessions to help answer any questions you may have:
Monday, Oct. 2: 5 pm - 8 pm (room 802)
Tuesday, Oct. 3: 4pm - 6pm (room 804)

You can also find me Saturday afternoon in the STEM Center (room 834). This isn't a dedicated Phys 10 review -- I will be helping students from other classes too -- but I should be around from noon until about 3 or 4 pm.

Assigned Reading and Videos:

Before the Sept. 12 lecture, please watch the following series of videos (some of which were, or will be, also shown in class.)
History Channel: Aristotle and Ptolemy
