We meet each Wednesday at 9:30 AM and leave soon after. Do not be late! If you are meeting us at
the hike site you will need to consult with me ahead of time as to the location and time. “Cost Plus” as
a meeting place refers to the Gateway Plaza Shopping Center at 450 River Street in Santa Cruz, not “Costco”.

Aug 30: Orientation at Cabrillo gymnasium
Sept 6: Fall Creek (meet at Cost Plus or entrance to park on Felton-Empire Rd.)
Sept 13: Wilder Ranch 1 (meet at Cost Plus or Hwy 1 pullout at Wilder main entrance)
Sept 20: Nisene Marks 1 (meet at Cabrillo tennis courts)
Sept 27: Pogonip 1 (meet at Cost Plus)
Oct 4: Arana Canyon (meet at Oakwood Cemetery on Paul Sweet Rd near Dominican Hospital)
Oct 11: UCSC and Lime Kilns of Wilder (meet at Cost Plus or top of Spring St.)
Oct 18: Nisene Marks 2 (meet at Cabrillo tennis courts)
Oct 25: Wilder Ranch 2 (meet at Cost Plus or 4-Mile Beach parking lot on Hwy 1)
Nov 1: Land of Medicine Buddha (meet at Cabrillo tennis courts)
Nov 8: Pogonip 2 (meet at Cost Plus)
Nov 15: Henry Cowell’s (meet at Cost Plus. We will not be entering from Hwy 9)
Nov 22: Seacliff Beach and Porter Sesnon (meet at Cabrillo tennis courts)
Nov 29: Wilder Ranch 3 (meet at Cost Plus or Hwy 1 pullout at Wilder main entrance)
Dec 6: Gray Whale Ranch (meet at Cost Plus. Very limited parking at hike site)
Dec 13: DeLaveaga and the Santa Cruz Circle Trail (meet at Cost Plus)*

*Our last hike is during finals week and is scheduled at our regular day and time. If you have a conflict with another final you will need to do a make-up hike before finals week.

We may encounter poison oak, ticks, wasps and mosquitoes on our hikes. Light colored lightweight long pants and insect repellent are highly advised. Bring plenty of water and energy snacks and wear sunscreen. Good footwear is required.
