Save our Shores beach cleanups. Meet at 10 am unless otherwise noted. Upcoming:

February 18: Seabright State Beach

March 17: Davenport Main Beach

May 19: Capitola Beach and Soquel Creek

June 16: Sunset State Beach

July 5: Cleanup after 4th of July fireworks. Start time is 8 am. See SOS Calendar for information.

July 21: Moran Lake Beach

August 18: Rio Del Mar State Beach

September 15: Annual Coastal Cleanup (many sites throughout county) Start time is 9 am.

October 20: Cowell and Main Beach Santa Cruz

November 17: Bonny Doon Beach

December 15: Twin Lakes State Beach

Surfrider Foundation has monthly beach cleanups as well. Although currently not available check their calendar later for upcoming cleanups.

Saint Francis Catholic Kitchen needs volunteers on weekdays to help feed the homeless. Arrive in the morning to prepare, serve and clean up the meal served at noon.

 

California Grey Bears on Chanticleer Ave near the Flea Market is always looking for volunteers in various capacities. (831) 479-1055. Ask for Tony or go into main office for help.

 

Second Harvest Food Bank in Watsonville needs volunteers every Saturday. Call ahead for assignments:

Attend a Santa Cruz County Composting Workshop or Wormshop

See the Santa Cruz SPCA for training for volunteering for 2 hours a week for 6 months.

Main Beach Santa Cruz has been adopted by Kaplan Vollleyball.
Students can fulfill their 2 hour requirement by participating in one of the 6 yearly
cleanups led by our program
