We meet each Wednesday at 9:30 AM and leave soon after. Do not be late! If you are meeting us at the hike site you will need to consult with me ahead of time as to the location and time. “Cost Plus” as a meeting place refers to the Gateway Plaza Shopping Center at 450 River Street in Santa Cruz, not “Costco”.Always check my message machine (477-5201 X1529) for daily updates.

February 7: Orientation at Cabrillo gymnasium
February 14: Nisene Marks 1 (meet at Cabrillo tennis courts)
February 21: Wilder Ranch 1 (meet at Cost Plus or Hwy 1 pullout at Wilder main entrance)
February 28: Fall Creek (meet at Cost Plus or entrance to park on Felton-Empire Rd.)
March 7: Pogonip 1 (meet at Cost Plus)
March 14: Wilder Ranch 2 (meet at Cost Plus or 4-Mile Beach parking lot on Hwy1)
March 21: Arana Canyon (meet at Oakwood Cemetry on Paul Sweet Rd near Dominican Hospital)
March 28: Moore Creek (meet at Cost Plus or Delaware St. near Antonelli Pond )
April 4: Spring Break (no class)
April 11: UCSC and Lime Kilns of Wilder (meet at Cost Plus or top of Spring St.)
April 18: Pogonip 2 (meet at Cost Plus)
April 25: Nisene Marks 2 (meet at Cabrillo tennis courts)
May 2: Henry Cowell (meet at Cost Plus. We will not be entering from Hwy 9)
May 9: Land of Medicine Buddha (meet at Cabrillo tennis courts)
May 16: Wilder Ranch 3 (meet at Cost Plus or Hwy 1 pullout at Wilder main entrance)
May 23: Gray Whale Ranch (meet at Cost Plus. Very limited parking at hike site)
May 30: DeLaveaga and the Santa Cruz Circle Trail (meet at Cost Plus)*

*Our last hike is during finals week and is scheduled at our regular day and time. If you have a conflict with another final you will need to discuss with me a make-up hike.

We may encounter poison oak, ticks, wasps and mosquitoes on our hikes. Light colored lightweight long pants and insect repellent are highly advised. Bring plenty of water and energy snacks and wear sunscreen. Good footwear is required.
