Items to bring to a tournament and driving directions (compiled by John Crawbuck)

With a few exceptions, all tournaments are for amateur players that have never earned a California Beach Volleyball Association rating (or a rating from some other high-level organization). They take place on Saturdays once a month and include categories for Coed Doubles, Men's Doubles and Novice Coed Doubles (Inexperienced players only in Coed Novice and two men are not allowed to play together). Many questions can be answered in our Frequently Asked Questions including rain in the forecast.

Our tournaments are non-profit fundraisers for different local organizations including Second Harvest Food Bank (in place of canned food donation in past), Saint Francis Soup Kitchen, Spinal Cord Society, Santa Cruz SPCA, Native Animal Rescue of Santa Cruz, the Farm Sanctuary and the Orangutan Conservancy. Over $90,000 has been raised. We are also accepting (working or not) old cell phones, ink jet cartridges, energy bar wrappers (foil inside), MP3 players, digital camers and small electronics to help raise funds for these organizations. Read about our Mission Statement. Thanks to everyone who has contributed.

Note that these tournaments fill up very quickly due to their enormous popularity (and with good reason, they're SO much fun!).
