REQUIREMENTS:

1.   Attendance and Participation—Contact instructor if absent (429-1958 or pvanloon@cabrillo.edu). Come to each class prepared to discuss reading assignments and homework.

 

2.   TestsNovember 5 (25 points) & December 10 (40 points). From lectures, discussions, & textbook.

                          Test #1 covers: Introduction and Chapters 1, 2, 4

                          Test #2 covers: Chapters 3, 5, 6, 8 (p. 251-269)

 

3.     Library project—due November 19 (5 points). Worksheet and in-class library time will be provided on that date—turn in at end of class period.

 

4.   Textbook Exercises, Journal Entries, etc. (30 points listed above)—You can either: (1) tear pages out of book, (2) photo­ copy pages from book, or (3) answer on separate sheets. (Extra credit: any assignments from the textbook. They earn approximately 1 point/page).

 

GRADING: You'll receive a letter grade (A, B, C, D, etc.), unless you tell me you want credit/no credit (CR/NC). A=90–100 points/ B=80–89/ C=70–79/ D=60–69/ F=59 or less. (70 points are required for CR grade.) LATE WORK is subject to a lower grade.
