Stereoskopia Occultation - Aug 9, 2004

Observer: Richard Nolthenius

Site: Locatelli Meadow roadside, Bonny Doon: Long=122 11.55, Lat=37 08.56' Elev=2200 ft.

Telescope: 10" LX200 with 22mm Nagler eyepiece

Timing method: voice/WWV visually

The story: The occultation was just after twilight ended and there was no time to get the video system up and the alt/az LX200 aligned too, so I did this one visually. The star was visible enough so that from 4:06:00 to 4:10:00 UT, there were no events longer than a 0.3-0.4 seconds.

Result: A successfully observed miss.
