Astro 28B - Field Astronomy at Mt Lassen - no! At Red Rock Canyon

Post-Trip Pictures

The final word from the Weather people was that solid clouds and likely rain were in store for Mt Lassen area. The web-cam photos showed plenty of new snow at the entrances to Mt Lassen National Park, and the campground was closed, as was the SETI telescopes. So we did a late diversion to Red Rock Canyon. We still featured my updated talk on the SETI project and the prospects for intelligent life elsewhere in the Galaxy, however. Red Rock turned out to be an excellent venue - clear skies (clear enough, anyway) and everyone was happy with the change.

Here's Kirk's excellent portfolio of pictures from our trip - thank you Kirk for all your help in making this trip a big success!
