COURSES TAUGHT – Spring 2013

CABT 106 Introduction to Computers at Cabrillo
This class introduces the use of computers for beginning computer users with emphasis on the Cabrillo College student computer environment. You will learn basic computer use, including saving and naming files, creating a Word file, simple Internet searching, e-mail basics, and how to access computers at Cabrillo College.

It is held on one weeken early in the semester so you can get up and running quickly.
(Saturday/Sunday 9 AM-1:15 PM Aptos Room 1302)

Open Entry Classes:

After orientation, you work mostly on your own according to your own schedule.

Advisory: These can be difficult courses, even though they have low unit values. In order to pass the Keyboarding classes you must be able to demonstrate the actual performance goal, no matter how long it takes. It is quite challenging to complete 3 levels of keyboarding in one semester. And because these are based on physical proficiency, plan on spending weeks of regular effort. You cannot cram to pass these classes; so start early in the semester! Every semester we have students who have trouble with financial aid because they have signed up for too many levels of keyboarding.
Note: Textbook and software has changed starting Fall 2012. If you have earlier versions of the software and text, talk to us at the beginning of the semester. Text and software is necessary only for Distance/Online sections.
