Math 12 - Elementary Statistics

Required Material

The required text is a free e-textbook. You can access it at https://openstaxcollege.org/textbooks/introductory-statistics/get . I recommend that you download the entire .pdf so that you always have access to your book. There is also a link to the pdf down below.

A print version is available for $33.50 for those that prefer that. You can order it via Amazon from seller "OpenStax College". Introductory Statistics, ISBN 1-938168-20-8.

You are also required to get any version of the TI-83 or the TI-84 calculator for this course. There are several online sites that let you rent a calculator, which might be a good idea (usually around $9 per month). One such place is www.rentcalculators.com (use discount code: CC95003). The college also have a calculator loan program, which I will tell you more about in class.

For all classes you are also expected to bring lecture notes that I post on this course website. They contain important formulas, examples, and many other things, along with blanks left for us to fill in and add notes. We will complete these lecture notes in class.
