Laurienne Hammond

Laurienne Hammond is the Accounting and Finance Department Chair and Accounting Instructor. Teaching combines her two passions: business and accounting. She has over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, business owner, and advisor. Her academic career has spanned over fifteen years serving thousands of students with her dual specialties. She views teaching as an opportunity to take students along a continuum of knowledge acquisition grounded in real-world application. Her classes foster student participation by discussing current events. Laurienne’s primary goal as an instructor is to foster personal empowerment by translating concepts and strategies to students in a clear and fluid manner.

Her educational background encompasses a Bachelor of Science in Business with concentrations in finance and marketing. She holds a Master of Science degree in Accounting. She has worked in the public and private sectors within accounting. This has included developing and launching multiple businesses. She has served as a Director of Operations within the insurance industry. She embraces the unlimited possibilities of the business entrepreneurial life and its ever-evolving application within technology and global economics. It is her pleasure to bring my personalized expertise to educating the professionals of the future.

Terry Mullin, M.S. Accounting, M.B.A., M.S. Information Systems, EdD-ABD, Illinois State University and A.O.S in Culinary Arts, The Culinary Institute of America, NY

Terry Mullin is a Professor of Business and Accounting and the lead faculty in the Accounting area. He has been working at Cabrillo Community College since 2013 and teaches a range of courses at Cabrillo that include Financial, Managerial, Intermediate, Excel for Accounting, Accounting Ethics, QuickBooks, Introduction to Accounting: Bookkeeping Concepts, and Payroll Accounting. He created three new certificates for his students in Payroll Accounting, Tax Preparation, and CPA Exam Preparation. He has over thirty years of experience as a chef, manager, and business owner in the foodservice industry and over twenty five years teaching at the college level. He loves to cook, bake and prepare pastries and travels back and forth from his Midwestern home in central Illinois with his five large dogs Andrew, Lily, Sophie, Cooper and Lucy. Mo Hassan, M.B.A., University of Kentucky / Eastern Kentucky University

Mo Hassan is the Department Chair of the Business Department and Professor of Business and Accounting. He has been working at Cabrillo Community College since 1999. He holds an M.B.A. in Finance. His expertise is teaching and consulting in the areas of business and financial management. Mo's passions are traveling, biking, swimming, and spending time in the outdoors.
