Collaborations

The Digital Media Department at Cabrillo College doesn’t just hone the skills students need in modern software and design theory, In the Digital Media department, students will have the opportunity to earn certificates and get real world work experience and collaborate with students from other departments through collaborative projects.

AP & DM Poster Design & Gallery Show:

Students from DM5 - Design for Digital Media team up with students from the Art Photography AP9A - Black & White Photography course, together using original black and white photography and graphic design elements to create unique one-of-a-kind poster designs that are hung in the Library Art Gallery.

This project simulates a real world designer/client working environment and an artist-to-artist team collaboration, and at the end of the project students have a legitimate design related item that they can put on their resume/CV before leaving Cabrillo College.

We are also working closely with the Computer Science and Music Technology and Recording Arts departments to create a terrific new certificate - come back soon to learn more!
