Daniel Loera de la Cruz

Instructor and Academic Specialist

Daniel is a cybersecurity consultant and IT Specialist with over 25 years of experience in IT.

As an orphan at the tender age of 12 and a first-generation college graduate, Daniel understands through first-hand experience of the numerous challenges that marginalized students must overcome to academically thrive. Where most people encounter a perceived insurmountable barrier, Daniel perceives a challenge that can be conquered. This mindset propelled Daniel to graduate summa cum laude and was the recipient of the President's Honor Roll from Hartnell College. Daniel then transferred to CSU Monterey Bay and earned a B.S. in Telecommunications, Multimedia & Applied Computing with a Network Security emphasis. He also graduated summa cum laude with Distinction and awarded the Provost’s Award for Exemplary Academic Achievement. Daniel continued his unquenchable thirst for knowledge by enduring the rigors of graduate school and earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree while juggling the domestic responsibilities of supporting a family.
