Common Questions
How old do I need to be to take a class?
Cabrillo Extension classes are for students 18 and older unless otherwise noted.
How do virtual classes work?
If you can't come to us, we'll come to you! Virtual live instruction classes, workshops, and youth programs are taught by many of our most popular instructors, teaching the art, culinary, textile, and technology classes that our students have come to know and love, but in the comfort of your own home!
Most live instruction classes are offered through Zoom, a virtual space where you'll interact with your instructors and other members of your community in real time. You do not need a Zoom account, and you can connect directly from your favorite web browser. With just one click, you can join your classroom - no extra log-in required!
When will you offer face-to-face classes?
As a result of the campus being closed, Extension will not be able to offer face-to-face classes until further notice. However, many classes will be adapted to live instruction in a virtual classroom environment. Currently registered students will be notified via email with information about how their class will be impacted, and what options will be available.
