Instructor/Computer Technology Center
BS Information Resource Management
With Cabrillo College since 2001
I have been a full-time instructor with Cabrillo College since 2001. I worked as an applications trainer for businesses for many years prior to becoming full-time at Cabrillo. I currently help manage the Computer Technology Center (CTC), a 100+ computer facility on lower campus which has Macs, PCs, scanners, printers, student Teaching Assistants and an Adaptive Computing Lab. Any currently-registered Cabrillo student can use the CTC to do school labs and homework and to get assistance. Almost all software that is taught at Cabrillo is available in the CTC. We are open 6 days a week, Monday-Saturday as well as evenings Monday- Thursday. For more details on hours, please go to link listed on the left called Computer Technology Center (Aptos).
I grew up in a household of teachers and learned early-on the sanctity of questions as tools for learning. I respect the courage it takes to ask a question and admire those who do the asking. In fact, I love the learning process in general, and my best hours are those interacting with students to help them attain their educational goals. One of the joys of being employed in an educational setting is the fact that discovery and learning happens between both the teachers and the taught. How much better does it get?
I enjoy close ties with my family and my wonderful husband with whom I have laughed, labored, and loved for oh, so many years now.
Do well, keep well, and keep at it!
