Dr. Beth Roselyn
Anthropology Instructor, Hufflepuff

B.A. Anthropology and Economics, University of Kansas; M.A. and Ph.D. Anthropology, University of California San Diego
With Cabrillo College since 2013

Starting Spring 2017 I will only be teaching online and will not be available on campus.

Spring 2017 ANTHR 1 and 1L ALL SECTIONS
We will be using Canvas as the course website and it will become available the first day the semester starts. I will send out an introductory email to enrolled and waitlisted students in the week or so before the session begins with additional information. Please email me using the "Send a Message" link if you have any questions.

ANTHR 1 Only
There are no required textbooks for the course. All reading material will be made available to you on Canvas through web links or pdfs or from the Cabrillo College Library databases. If you do not have a library card, you will need one so you can access online library resources from off-campus. Here is information about getting a library card, either in person or applying online:

We will be using The Human Evolution Coloring Book by Adrienne Zihlman (Professor Emerita from UCSC) for the course. You can buy it in the campus bookstore or find it from any number of online retailers for under $20. Other materials will be made available to you on Canvas.

If you are currently on the waitlist for ANTHR 1 or 1L Spring 2017, please do not email me for an add code.

If enrolled students drop before the week before the semester starts, the first students on the waitlist will be automatically emailed (by Web Advisor, not me) with an add code.

Online Sections
Once the semester starts, I will contact students on the waitlist as space becomes available and in the order in which they are listed. Enrolled students must complete an initial assignment early in Week 1 or they will be dropped as "no-shows". Once I know how many spaces will be available, I will contact students on the waitlist with add codes. Students will only be added to the classes as space becomes available and in the order in which they are listed on the waitlist.

DO NOT EMAIL ME FOR AN ADD CODE. I will contact waitlisted students as space becomes available once the semester starts.
