Adjunct Criminal Justice Instructor
B.S. Criminology M.A. Leadership
I am currently employed as a Probation Officer with the County of Santa Clara. I have been a Probation Officer for nearly 20 years, having started my career in Santa Cruz County (1996-2000)
Most of my career has been spent working with juveniles, especially those involved with gangs. I was assigned to the Juvenile Division from 2000-2011, and I became an expert in the field of gangs and the Fitness Process, whereby juveniles are tried as adults.
My teaching style emphasizes the need to learn the Juvenile Justice System, the relationship of juveniles and gangs, as well as the examples of real-life cases from my past experiences.
I have taught for Cabrillo College since 2002, and I have also taught online courses for National University.
