Mimi D'Iorio PhD
Adjunct & Online Geography Instructor
I am a GIS specialist teaching Introduction to GIS as an adjunct instructor at Cabrillo. With undergraduates degrees in Geography and Environmental Studies (UCLA, 1993) and a doctorate degree in Earth Sciences (UCSC, 2003), I currently work at NOAA's MPA Center as manager of the MPA Inventory, a comprehensive spatial database of marine protected areas in the U.S. I have nearly twenty years of experience working with geospatial data and tools and enjoy working with students to find creative and interesting ways to apply GIS to answer spatial questions.
