Spring 19 Schedule:

Class Texts:
Writing and Reading Across the Curriculum by Behrens and Rosen (14th edition/ rental only)
The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat by Oliver Sachs

English 2
Class Theme: The Latino Experience in America

Students will encounter a variety of films, stories, and other media, but most of our course is built around Harvest of Empire: A History of Latinos in America by Juan Gonzalez.

Course Questions:
The histories of the United States and the nations of Latin America and the peoples who live there have intertwined for centuries. How have the economic, cultural, and political forces of the Americas led to our present moment? How can we use the history of the Western hemisphere to understand our present and co-create a better future?

These are questions that are relevant to all, and all are welcome!

I oversee the online and face-to-face English 100 Lab sections at the main campus as well
