With Cabrillo College since 2003

As a member of a family of educators, I value education deeply. I've been writing and keeping a journal since I was 12, and I love to read, especially powerful stories about courage and transformation. I believe in the power of education and life-long learning, and I have seen how education can change lives.
In Southeast Asia, I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the 1980s; I also lived in Venezuela as a child, and every year I take groups of students to Japan. Travel and cross-cultural experiences are one of the joys of my life, next to my family!
I earned an AA degree from Ohlone College (and I went back and taught there after I got a Master's degree!) I joined the Cabrillo family in 2003, and I have also taught at CSU, Monterey Bay and UCSC.
I enjoy teaching at Cabrillo, especially in Watsonville, and I welcome students to contact me via email or the phone # listed above.
