Cabrillo College's BELA (Business, English and Language Arts) Division is filled with classes that will provide students with basic, necessary and practical skills, as well as rigorous, advanced coursework to help you be successful in school and at work. We offer A.A or A.S. degrees in Accounting & Finance, Business, CABT (Computer Applications and Business Technology), English, Journalism, and Spanish.

And there's more:
Classes in ESL provide a bridge for non-native speakers of English to improve their proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and listening.
In Business and Accounting, students gain the skills and knowledge required for entry-level positions in industry, government, financial institutions, and small businesses.
In World Languages, you can learn German, Italian, French, Japanese, American Sign Language and Spanish.
BELA also offers numerous Study Abroad opportunities in many countries, including Peru, Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Italy and France.
The English department offers courses at every level, from remedial English to Advanced Grammar and classes in Creative Writing, Composition and Literature. There is also an excellent Writing Lab as well as a Reading Program dedicated to improving the skills of all students.
CABT has courses designed to prepare students for successful employment in a wide range of business, office, technology and computer-related jobs.
In Journalism, students get the hands-on opportunity to apply their skills in producing The Cabrillo Voice newspaper in both print and online editions. Students on the staff write the stories, take the photos, edit the copy, sell the ads, and design and lay out the pages.
