Greetings and Welcome to Spring 2019.

This semester I am teaching a new course: History of Contemporary Chicano Movements. As we near the third decade of the 21st century, the lives of Chicana/os --and Latina/os in general-- have been impacted by great changes underway in American society. This class will examine a myriad of issues from race and ethnicity to food and politics.

The most exciting news for me is the publication of my book: Chicano Communists and the Struggle for Social Justice (University of Arizona Press, 2019).
