Eligibility & Benefits

A military veteran is any person who served for any length of time in any military service branch.

Cabrillo College is honored to serve our veterans. We served all military service regardless of your honorable or dishonorable discharge.

Department of Veteran Affairs Military Service Benefits

Cabrillo College is approved to certify eligible students (veterans and their dependents) who are interested in:

  • Completing an associate degree program

  • Completing a certificate program

  • Transferring to a four-year institution

An applicant's eligibility for benefits is determined by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Veterans and dependents must begin the process by completing the appropriate online application to Veteran's Affairs. Click on the form link below to fill out the corresponding application: Veterans On-Line Application

Effective August 1, 2011. The amount of tuition and fees payable for programs offered by Institutions of Higher Learning will change. The in-state, undergraduate state maximum amounts for tuition and fees will no longer apply.

U.S. Public Schools: The actual net cost for in-state tuition and fees after the application of any waiver, scholarship, aid, or assistance (other than loans and funds provided under section 401(b) of the Higher Education Act of 1965), provided directly to the institution and specifically designated for the sole purpose of defraying tuition and fees.
