  • Thursday, April 12, 2018 Black Student Union Black Panther Movie Debrief. Join the Cabrillo College Black Student Union for a discussion on the background/origins of the movie and it's significance it has not only for the Black community, but for everyone trying to progressively move forward as a people.   • Wednesday, April 18, 2018 Cookies and Conversation about Sexual Health and Sexuality, Cabrillo Aptos Campus, 11am-2pm, Main Quad. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the sexuality spectrum and the importance of sexual helath trhough information tables and interactive discussions. Raffle and free cookies!   • Thursday, May 3, 2018 Dolores Huerta Documentary Screening. Join us for a free screening of one of the most important documentaries created that captivates the life, struggles, and victories of Dolores Huerta during the United Farmworkers Union movement, Cabrillo College, Aptos main campus, 6:00pm, Room 450. Open to all community members.
  • Friday, May 4, 2018 Women, Equity and Policy. Join Cabrillo's History Department, the Office of Student Equity, and Anna Caballero for a panel discussion on ways women have influenced policy and equity. Details and location TBA.
  • Tuesday, May 8, 2018 "Illegals in Times of Crisis" Julio Salgado Lecture and Art Workshop. Visual artist Julio Salgado is a queer artist of color whose work explores themes of immigration and queerness. as an undocumented and queer artist living in times of crisis, he uses his art to deal with anti-immigrant narratives. Lecture, 2:30pm-3:30pm room 609. Poster-making workshop, 3:30pm-4:30pm, Room 609.
