Faculty Services

To: Cabrillo College Instructors

The Cabrillo College Library maintains a strong partnership with faculty on campus. We provide a rich collection of services, for your students and for you.

For your students:

  • A large course reserve collection, including books and videos the library purchases as well as many books and materials faculty members provide (see link above).
  • A robust online database collection for student research, as well as a core book collection covering all campus instruction areas.
  • Librarian faculty available for providing assistance to students on their information needs.

For Faculty:

  • Targeted classroom instruction sessions conducted by librarians for classes in most program areas – contact any librarian for examples and details.

  • Subject-area librarian liaisons responsible for book-buying in all Cabrillo department areas (see link above).

  • Videos and DVDs requested by faculty or departments are happily purchased by the library, assuming available funds – contact the library director with requests.

  • Inter-Library Loan service for faculty and students, extending the reach of your research considerably beyond Cabrillo’s collections (see link above for details).

  • Annual faculty newsletters, with updates on the latest library services and evolutions!
