College AID for your Education

CASHE (College Aid Sources for Higher Education) is a free scholarship service to help students pay for their education.   It is one of the most comprehensive, oldest and most respected services available to students.  

 The service is provided by Sallie Mae, one of the nation's largest providers of student loan funds. CASHE does not sell student information to any outside parties, nor does it allow intrusive advertising on the site.

Community College Scholarships

To find out details about these awards, get on the website for your local community college(s), and see what’s out there. Some are funded by individual endowments, others by local corporations, and still others are state-sponsored. All have their own eligibility requirements. Another resource is the Financial Aid Office on the campus of your chosen college.

Conservation-Related Scholarships

Engineering and Technical Science Achievement Scholarships

Applicants for the Engineering and Technical Science Achievement Scholarship must be a woman undergraduate majoring in engineering or technical science. Applicants must have an overall grade point average of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent.

FastWEB is the largest online scholarship search available, with 600,000 scholarships representing over one billion in scholarship dollars. It provides students with accurate, regularly updated information on scholarships, grants, and fellowships suited to their goals and qualifications, all at no cost to the student. Students should be advised that FastWEB collects and sells student information (such as name, address, e-mail address, date of birth, gender, and country of citizenship) collected through their site.

Google Scholarships

As part of our commitment to military veterans, Google established the Google SVA Scholarship in partnership with Student Veterans of America. The scholarship provides assistance to student veterans who are pursuing university degrees in the field of computer science in the U.S. Selected students will receive 10,000 USD for the upcoming school year and will be invited to attend the Google Scholars’ Retreat in the summer.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund

The prestigious Hispanic Scholarship Fund, which has provided financial aid to outstanding Hispanic American students pursuing college degrees for almost a quarter of a century, has two major awards available for hundreds of community college students each year.

Immigrants Rising

Scholarships and fellowships are essential for many undocumented students to pay for higher education, especially students who do not qualify for in-state tuition and state-based financial aid. Undocumented students pursuing higher education need to know that scholarships and fellowships are available to them—regardless of their immigration status.

Latinos in Technology Scholarship

For Latino(a) students who have a declared major in a science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)-related field. Scholarship Amount: Up to $30,000 (paid over three years, provided renewal eligibility requirements are met)

Omega Nu Scholarship

The Omega Nu Scholarship program is one of the largest in Santa Cruz County. The program was established in 1957 to assist qualified students who plan to attend California public universities or colleges. These scholarships are based on financial need and scholastic achievement and are eligible for renewal. The amount awarded each year is dependent on proceeds from annual Omega Nu fundraisers. Scholarships for Women

Women-specific scholarships originated decades ago as a way to encourage more women to consider pursuing college-level education. At that time, female students were a minority. While the ranks of women in college have greatly expanded over the years, there is a continued effort to increase the diversity of the student population, create additional opportunities, and encourage entry into non-traditional fields of study, such as Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

This is exceptional growth, and granting these students financial aid options ensures their continued success. With 150+ scholarships totaling over $340,000, SHPE is actively narrowing the gap in the Hispanic STEM education pipeline.

Silicon Valley Community Foundation

SVCF administers a variety of scholarship programs for high school seniors, college and graduate school students, and re-entry students. Annually, we award close to 500 scholarships totaling more than $2 million. Through scholarships established with SVCF by individuals, families and organizations, we have awarded nearly $17.9 million to students since 2007.

Society of Women Engineers Scholarships (SWE)

SWE Scholarships support those who identify as a female/woman and are pursuing an ABET-accredited bachelor or graduate student program in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science in the United States. In 2019, SWE disbursed nearly 260 new and renewed scholarships valued at more than $810,000.

Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corp.

The TGSLC is the primary guarantor of student loans in the state of Texas, but its extensive Web site with links and public information make it useful for students nationwide for planning and selecting a college.
